Since somebody started a thread about the 2005 draft and Dan Ryder who`s the younger brother of a Canadiens player, I figured i`d start a thread about another 2005 draftee who the younger brother of a habs player (or soon to be). Sergei Kostitsyn was taken in the 7th round of the 2005 draft and had a very good year as an 18 year old rookie straight out of Europe, but hes has had an absolutely rediculous playoffs. He had 2 goals and 3 assists last night including the overtime winner to help London eliminate Guelph. This brings his playoff totals to 12 goals and 20 assists for 32 points in 15 games. He is second in OHL playoff scoring only to Schremp who has (5+33) 38 points. On top of that, the word is he has a lot of sandpaper to his game and loves to hit. ....he`s 6 feet tall and 190 pounds...so he should top out at 200 pounds...not bad size....I think for a player drafted in the 7th round that has to be considered very encouraging. If anybody has seen him play can I please have an opinion on what type of player he can be...thanks!!
