Brown is overrated, but McCarron literally has not shown anything worthwhile of being picked so high, and a late first in weak draft is terrible deal for a player who still has a lot of potential overall.

Well, if I apply the same comments I've read about Sergachev, or guys like Scherbak, Juulsen or Mete...McCarron is worth more just based on that fact that he's playing in the NHL.

See, you can blame Leafs and Habs fan all you want, but that's the kind of logic we're being served when we refuse to include our young players in a deal.

Not intending to intervene or anything, but if both sides are too attached to their own guy, we could offer both of you a deal. How about trading Sergachev or Brown for Logan Stanley, another Spitfire? Ottawa would retain a massive Logan, and Montreal fans could still get excited about their defenseman who spits fire from the skies. Isn't that a wonderful deal? :sarcasm:

If you want to unite players, it would be better with the existing team with Vilardi which can be had with either the 3rd (Dallas) or 4th (Colorado) pick. Both teams need D and the Sens need to offer either Chabot, Ceci or possibly White (forward).

All right then we'll do the comparisons again next year. Well if McCarron is still a hab.

Wasn't Brown injured much of the season? I'd say that makes it hard to gauge his development and/or his trade value. If Ottawa want to trade him I'd say they would wait and see 1) what their roster looks like after the expansion draft and free agency, 2) whether White lives up to the hype, and 3) what exactly they have in Logan Brown.

As someone who lives in Windsor and watched the team regularly, Sergechv >>>>>>>>>>>> Brown.

For someone Browns size and skill set he's a turn over machine. He's an awkward skater (should improve in time) and isn't that strong on the puck for someone his size. He has a unique skill set, but everyone's production declined on his line. Sergechev is much further along and is far more talented.

IMO, Browns ceiling is a healthy Hanzal.
