Thats our 13th forward. Cannot believe he is getting paid that much by our team.

I hope it's for the AHL.

Hes what, 33, has 8 points in his last 79 games and has played in the AHL in each of the last 2 seasons.

He's not someone you want in your top 12.

Good signing for your team. Thompson has struggled with injures the last couple of years, but every time he came back it looked like he didn't miss a beat.

He was very good in the playoffs this year. He's strong and has decent speed. He's solid defensively and in the dot, and he wins a lot of puck battles along the board. Brings leadership and a good work ethic as well.

His biggest weakness is obviously production. He'll miss a lot of scoring oppurtunities, but a good 4th liner for sure. He should defenitely not be in the AHL ...

Classic Boucher type. Don't mind it at all. Will fit nicely in the bottom 6. Money is too high for my liking though. Another overpayment

1.65 for Nate ****ing Thomson?

Jesus, that seems very, very high when Brett Connolly got 1.5 off a 15 goal in 66 game season and Thompson came off a 2 point in 30 game, healthy scratch season.

Terrible, terrible value signing. 1.7 million for a terrible 4th line player. Have to question what Dorian is doing here, on a team that is strapped for cash.

Kelly had the same amount of points in 11 games the year previous to signing with us, and signed a 1 year, 900K deal. What has Thompson done to earn a 2nd year at 1.65?

Agreed. I like the player but not the contract. Another overpayment by Dorion IMO. Things like these add up and become an issue when you're a budget team.

Every single coach in the NHL would rather have Thompson than Connolly.
