The thing that screams at me from these polls is that it's not a good thing at all that the Sens do not have a goalie in the top 10 group of prospects. That's a little troubling to me.

Gendron could surprise people

The skating is elite. The rest of his game sure isn't, but that one attribute could make him an NHLer, even if it's as a depth D in the Bartkowski mold.

He's been a darkhorse favourite of mine for a while, but I think he really has to take a big leap forward offensively to have a future. I know he's a convert from forward, so some extra development time was needed, but I don't get a great feeling from viewings at things like Dev camp and training camp. Obviously, it's a microscopic sample of viewings, but I no longer hold out much in the way of hope for him myself.

Def Gendron, he has an NHL quality skill in skating. Gagne went too high. Daccord is interesting but so hard to say with goalies
