Sounds like he might play an NHL game this year. Wonder if that factored into his decision.

Those rumours need to be taken with a grain of salt,. Any guy who is drafted and finishing his last year is going to have that said about them; it's the easiest rumour to get a head start on without having any info.

Good to see. But a 2-year deal? How does that work? Will he still be under one more season of the rookie/ELC cap limit in his next deal...or is the last year wiped out because of his age?

Think it has to do with burning a year,to get him signed....

Next Chris Wideman?

For what it's worth, Wideman in his 4th year of College hockey put up 24 pts in 41 games whiles Wolanen just put up 35 in 40 games in his 3rd year, but I think he's a year older than Wideman was in his 4th year and I don't know how the CCHA compares to the NCHC so it's all pretty meaningless...
