I thought hogberg was 6th and actually tied with the goalie he splits starts with in save percentage. hes actually 8th if we count all goalies

After tonight's shutout he's 4th. It's so close that a game like that can jump you several spots. The first 12 goalies have a save percentage above 91 and only the top 3 are above 92.

And as was said, he technically doesn't have a starting job as they are splitting duties. Högberg have played in 25 games and the other guy 31. They have obviously changed goalie during the game a number of times, as that combined would be more games than there are during the regular season.

I'm wondering, what's your top 6 (in order) of prospects who haven't played 40 NHL games yet? I've done some research and I'm guessing Puempel, Prince, Paul, Claesson, Wikstrand and Hogberg are there or not too far.

With that being said, can you tell me in how much time they may make an NHL debut (a real debut and not only for injury replacement).

(Sorry for my english)

Thanks everyone!

My guesses

Prince/Puempel could play in the NHL as soon as next year
Wikstrand could play next year or the year after
Robinson next year
Hogberg is at least 3 years away imo
Claessan 1-2 years
Paul 2-3 years
Englund 4 year
Harpur 3 years
Lindberg 3 years
Dzingle 2-3 year
Shore 2-3 years
Baillargeon

Not optimistic or havent seen the other players enough. I doubt most these players make it tbh but if everything goes reasonable right these would be my guess.

I've seen Tobias play 5+ times this year. He's going to be in the NHL faster than 3 years that's for sure. The kid is an absolute monster right now for the Generals. How you guys were able to steal him in the 4th round is beyond me.

& I'm saying all this as a Leaf fan

Englund's team lost to Hogberg's 7-0. Hogberg didn't play though, Englund ended up with team's worst -3. At least he played 17:25 instead of his usual 5-10 minutes.

This is definitely the most positive feedback I've read on him so far, and from a leafs fan no less

I think a lot of people on here who've seen him are a little bit skeptical of his chances of making it. I wonder why because in my limited viewings of him, I have the same opinion as you.

Great size and some skill to go along with it.

4th round pick coming off an ok year in Sweden. I've heard very good things about him since coming to NA but he does play on a juggernaut and i believe he's the 3rd best player on his line....No?

He's kinda having a break out year for himself

Lindberg was pretty good at the development camp as well showing off his speed & passing skills as well as scoring a beauty of a goal during one of the inter squad games. I liked him then & now even more watching the yr he is having, could be another sleeper for the Sens who keep discovering these late round gems. Paul LW & Lindberg RW hopefully will turn into another Hoffman LW & Stone RW combination of rookies. Ottawa could now use some big & skilled centres (McDavid/Strome/Zacha). ;)

With the number of guys Ottawa still has under contract for next season that gives Paul & Lindberg a yr in Bingo to learn the pro game under Richardson & could both be called up after the deadline next yr, if they are playing well. Obviously there are a few guys ahead of them but a lot can change over a yr.

Wikstrand has 20 pts in 44 games, not 18 in 42.

Only satisfying performances from prospects (who aren't going to graduate) this season seem to be :

Prince, Wideman, Harpur, Lindberg, Paul, Perron, Wikstrand and Hogberg

Well, I guess it was a good developmental year for Hammond too

Wikstrand's 6-game point streak ended today. He was +2 and played 25:44 as a 7th defenceman - that's 30 minutes territory in NHL.

I'm confused.. He was the 7th most used dman on his team?

He was most used.
SHL scoresheets are confusing. As far as I understand coach submits starting lineup that consists of 7-8 defencemen all split into pairings. He was 7th without pairing. I guess he was being double-shifted or something.

Francis Perron made it onto Corey Pronman's "Biggest risers from 2014 draft"

Here's what he had to say about him:

A former No. 6 overall pick in the QMJHL, Perron's counting stats haven't been especially gaudy compared to others in the Q, but he's been productive this season. He's a very smart playmaker who shows above-average hands, and his great offensive IQ has translated into two-way intelligence this season, showing notable defensive value on top of the great offensive tools. He's not a blazing skater or a real big guy, but he's not overly deficient in any area, and there's reason to think he could be a useful player as a pro.
