If he didn't have so many injuries already he'd be higher on my board. It's not hard to see him being an NHLer if he can get past that.

I doubted his ability before. But if he could ever stay healthy I could see him make it as a shaw type agitator with some skill. But the injuries are endless. And the nhl is less gentle than ncaa.

The Sabres have never had an injury prone, agitator, local player before :sarcasm: :)

Harvard forward Sean Malone (2013, sixth round) made an immediate impact in his return from a three-game absence over the weekend, totaling 6 points, 10 shots on goal and a plus 5 rating as the Crimson earned the sweep of Rensselaer in ECAC Tournament Quarterfinal action.

Friday - Sean Malone unloaded a pair of goals plus an assist as the Crimson took game one of the best-of-three series with a 5-2 victory.
At 17:02 of the first period, Malone gave Harvard a 1-0 lead with a quick wrist shot from the slot.
He’d pick up his second of the night with 1:18 left in regulation when he took the puck across the crease and filled the open net to complete the scoring.

Saturday - Sean Malone posted another three-point night, snagging the game-winning goal/2 assists as Harvard ended RPI's season with an 8-2 blowout victory.
The junior netted his 10th goal of the season/third of the weekend when he carved from the left circle into the slot for a backhand finish at 1:35 of the second period.

Sean Malone's big weekend - his second/third three-point games of the season - elevate his totals to 10 goals and 19 points through 25 games.
Malone takes a four-game goal streak into Friday’s ECAC Tournament Semifinal against St. Lawrence.

John Swetland @john_swetland -
How about Sean Malone? Nice numbers this year, finally healthy. A quality faceoff guy who plays a mean game when needed.

Kris Baker ‏@SabresProspects -
I prefer that he gets signed. Speed, tenacious no-quit worker who you'd like to see groomed into a solid AHL player and go from there.

Should he be getting a contract after his season. Up to this year he was iffy, but he really came on this year. 41 pts in 32 games. He buffalo chooses not to offer, someone will.

I think he was always getting a contract. He's a bottom-6 player in the NHL, but he's certainly getting a contract.

He has always played at a level demanding a contract, the only issue being frequent injuries. He is a legit NHL prospect even if his upside is limited. It'd be really strange if he didn't get offered a contract, especially since he is local.

I agree.....his injuries has hurt him production/numbers. I would be really surprised if he didn't get a contract.
