Where would Schwarz and Montoya fit into the Best Goalie Prospects Polls?
i'd like to know the answer to that myself.... anyone out there have an educated opinion?
where do montoya/schwarz line up when comparing them with the likes of toivonen, miller, ouellet, emery, leneveu, leclaire, ahonen etc?
thanx in advance
Montoya is no BIG thing.... yeah, he's good, but Schwarz is better/more developed.
Montoya seems to be fitting the WJC anomoly.
Since I've been here, he's the only goalie whos starred at the WJC and isn't considered the best goalie prospect in his draft year. I don't get it.
You missed one important fact: He's American. Think I'm crazy?
And Cuban! That certainly can't help him much!
He's Cuban-American! Apparently the kiss of death around these parts.
so no one can even put in a guess on this question?
It's hard to say since the don't have the NA pro experience yet.
But I'd say they are a step or two behind the Fleurys, Lehtonens, and Ouellets of the world. For now.
But goalies can become better, obviously. And if people would have known how well guys like Ouellet, Miller, and Toivonen would have been, they would have been drafted higher.
