So with Schenectady's 2850 seat arena still on horizon I say let's get a Fed team in there and name them the Mohawks or Chiefs lol. Great rivalry with Binghamton, Watertown, and even Danbury lol....Yes indeed, let's do this. A Fed team is more apprappropriate for the casino crowd anyway lol....Would be fun for sure.

There's almost zero chance that a Division I program would share a rink with an FPHL team. If - IF - this gets built, it's going to be used for Union hockey and concerts that are too big for The Egg or Proctor's and too small for the Knick. I highly doubt a Fed team would even get a sniff at a lease.

But that scenario would establish the perfect opportunity for Union v Fed exhibition games, thus answering the age-old hockey fan question: "Can a DI team beat an FHL team?" I know that's gotta be a thread around here somewhere.

First, it's going go be built. Second, Union is the main tenant but details still have to be ironed out, but they wont own the rink. Stop talking about proctord and other venues like you know what your talking about lol, the people who actually live here in the region forget more then you will know 🙄😏

The Knick? They haven’t used that name since 1997. that Arena is on its 3rd name since being known as the Knick.
