anyone have the official word on this guy? he's named top Dman of the tournament, is the #1 Dman for the lions, and apparently was never drafted (one of the posters who hails from finland mentioned something about a paperwork problem). is he eligible for this year's draft? if so, where does he get drafted? he's smallish, but obviously has game.

He's rated third or fourth Finnish player for the 2004 draft. And he's not tall, but not so smallish.

I don't know what he's exact height is, he's been listed most often as 177 cm but one publication listed him as 183 cm. His weight has been listed as about 80 kg.

He's rated at 6"0, 176 lbs. It's enough to be drafted.

He opted in last year, but didn't know he had to get his parents' signature, or something like that.

Lepistö just rocked at the WJC. Quarterbacking the PP, playing a ton of minutes, steady D work every game.

Even without the paperwork problems, I'm not sure he would've been drafted anyway. He's been taking huge steps in terms of development this year, last year he was pretty much an average defenseman in the U-20 league.
