Let's be honest here - Russians are the worst out of all top nations when it comes to winning face offs.

And it applies to all levels of players including our NHL superstars.

Our best face offs center , Artem Anisimov has a 44% winning record  Top NHL centers are at high 50s.

We are always dominated by the NA teams, but we even lose to Europeans.

I simply don't understand why our federation doesn't do anything about it?

Why can't they hire Canadian coaches to work with the junior national teams, invite foreign coaches to do master class around the country, implement Canadian training and work out methods?

Relax things are coming along nicely, development of goalies and now defencemen, Centers will surely come I think if their development is focused on.

It's true, because in Russian hockey historically faceoffs weren't really concentrated on for the centers. I remember Malkin coming to the NHL his FW % was pathetic 25-30% in many games. This is ridiculous number considering that any winger with little practice would lijely win more than that.
