He had more tds in that worst year than Pickett has in 2, I would be very surprised if Russ isn't the starter

There is still the chance Pickett does develop.

Russ is basically at Vick's last year stage.

His playstyle is basically a less physical mini-me of Roethlisberger, with no ability to see or use the middle of the field. He can provide moonballs to Pickens, but a QB with such limited vision is not going far in a division that competes with Burrow and Lamar as QBs, and a deep team in Cleveland.

Russ disrespect is insane. He’s not as good as he was at the start of his career, but definitely a capable QB. For $1.2M you can’t go wrong. Steelers definitely improved

He’s still serviceable as a QB though, Pickett is buyers remorse from the Steelers.
