LMAO at all the overconfident posters already pegging us in for the playoffs.

The 2009 Calgary Flames- a team with better underlying numbers than us today- choked away a 16-point lead on the division to Vancouver down the stretch after the deadline.

10 points is nothing. The Kings are a team that have proven they can kick into top-gear at the bait of a switch.

How can fans be overconfident when statistically we've had above a 98% chance for to make it for the last couple weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if we did end up making a small deal.

No one has confirmed we are done. Rishaug said we were unless a last minute call was placed, which could have happened.

That being said, I'd be just as content to stand pat.

Yeah they sure did last night. Not only do the Kings have to play .750 the rest of the way we would have to play like... .300.

Yeah, I mean, why take advantage of McDavid's ELC and a flat trade market by trading late picks for NHLers? Better to wait until Connor and Leon are making $16M or more combined before we start adding salary.

Massive, massive missed opportunity by Chia if DD was all he could accomplish.

Jesus christ, ***** ***** *****, chirp chirp chirp. What "Massive, massive" opportunity did Chiarelli miss on, if you are so bloody adamant that he has failed our team? Was Faulk available for RNH and Chia turned it down? Was Chiarelli supposed to convince the teams who traded 3C's for 2nd Rd picks to take worse picks instead?

If you're going to ***** at our GM, at least offer some kind of suggestion as to what he could have done that he missed out on, since he clearly is the worst GM.

How can anyone say this after the last time we made the playoffs... in the post season Anything can happen. If we're good enough to make the playoffs we're good enough to win

We didn't win the cup though

The only similarity between the 2006 Oilers and the 2017 Oilers is that both teams had a superstar/generational talent.

That was a gritty, experienced veteran squad with excellent possession numbers (better than this team) who fumbled their way into the playoffs due to ECHL-level goaltending for much of the year.
