So no more faceoffs 4 feet inside the blueline? I like that.

Penalty shots can be awarded basically if a player is fouled at any time during a breakaway: I think just any deliberate attempt to commit a penalty, whether a player is clearly going or is on a breakaway, should be a penalty shot.

No more gross misconduct? I think everyone assumed it as a game misconduct anyways.


The new interference rule is interesting, but it will rarely be used.

Might save some confusion, as opposed to the "well he touched the puck before he touched the player, therefore no penalty shot"- this is going to open up more penalty shots for the game.
