***Rule Changes for the 2014/2015 HFNHL Season***

Unrestricted Free Agents
Players 29 or older become unrestricted free agents at the expiration of their contracts. The age applies to a player after the particular season has completed. For example, although the UFA age is 29, this applies to all players listed as 28 on the Player Vitals page as of Sept. 15.

This is how the ufa rule is written in the rule book. Is the only change the age is now 28, and therefore 27 in the player vitals?

Reminder: Prospect Activation & Roster Requirements
With FA behind us just a quick reminder on a couple points.

Prospect Activation: New rule put into place this offseason. Agents are now accepting offers on any prospects you would like to sign. If a skater has played 82 games or goalie has played 50 games they MUST be signed. See here for full details.

Roster Requirements: Part of the Code of Conduct, GM's are required to have at least 25 players under contract (consisting of at least 3 goalies, 8 defenseman, and 14 forwards). See here for full details.

Why don't we just pick a date. So much easier. Born after this date, UFA, born before this date RFA?

Just to confirm, because we've had some questions with this. The date is Sept. 15 for the cutoff. Same as the draft (for consistency). I've altered my original mistake in the above (original) post.

Just to add, with the increase amount of UFAs, will the team be okay to handle the increase work? Will you need extra help from us GMs or will you be fine?
