It will be interesting to see what kind of shape he is in next summer compared to the water bear. Will definitely tell how dedicated he is to improving.

How much better does he have to get?
I mean was Maroon much of a skater? Old Jagr?
Probably has to get above the "Lehtera line," so how far does he have to go?

His skating has improved a bit. He's better from when he was last easily seen.
Being in Hamilton, all the Bulldogs games are on our local cable station, so I get to watch him a fair bit. His skating has improved, but he could still be faster. His agility is better too. The key for him is his hockey sense is elite, his hands are smooth, he has great passing vision and can finish his chances. He might take a few more years to make it, certainly the OHL next year again and then some AHL time, but he has a chance to be a player.

Guys are there, you just got to find them. Matthew Strome is a pretty good example where Matthew, his skating is his weakness. He’s got one flaw, everything else is pretty good. So, you look at Matthew, and if he can just improve it, he’s never probably going to be a great skater but if we can just ramp him up two levels, he’s got a real good chance at playing in the National Hockey League.
