Who is your choice for rookie of the month ?

My choice is Pitkanen, 6 pts in 8 games, leading his team with +6.
Patrice Bergeron is a close second, and Konstantin Koltsov is also HM

Most Valuable Rookie of the month is Pitkanen.
Most Outstanding Rookie of the month is Bergeron.

Chose between both for rookie of the month!

EDIT : Forgot to mention M-A Fleury

My vote would be for bergeron, youngest player in the league and i think he needs to get some credit for the good work he's done in boston this year. My runners up would be pitkanen and fleury.... all 3 are playing very very good though

Pitkanen Bergeron and Fleury

Pitkanen is only 3 points shy of leading all defenceman so i'd give him the honours. Fleury seems unstoppable, and bergeron is meshing perfectly with his Bruin team. Tough call.

Honorable Mention to Joffrey Lopul

what about andrew raycroft?? according to THN, he qualifies as a rookie. start including him in all of your rookie analysis, b/c he's here to stay.

i agree with the above poster though-
fleury, pitkanen, bergeron....and raycroft are the top candidates

I'd give it to Fleury.
Rarely an 18 year old goalie has dominated the way he has.
Second Bergeron and Pitkanen.
Koltsov a distant fourth.

Fleury is definitely the most valuable rookie thusfar. Without him, we could possibly only have 1 point.

Don't know who I'd give it to.

I wouldn't even consider Koltsov a candidate at this point.

Why? He has 6 points in 9 games, and you know stats don't even tell the whole story with him.

I don't think Zidlicky is eligible.

1- Fleury
2- Bergeron
3- Pitkanen

4- Koltsov
5- Raycroft
6- Staal
7- Ryder
8- King
9- Malone
10- Lupul

i'm a bit surprised no one has mentioned ruutu yet. i certainly wouldn't say number one, or even five, but i've seen him twice and been very impressed both times.

If Zidlicky is eligible he wins it hands down......3 more assists last night, leading all NHL d-men in scoring (even over Pitkanen), and he has stepped in and replaced all the dman that Nashville let go. Easy winner. Being a Pens fan, I wish MAF would get it but Zidlicky has played way over everyone else.
