Appert on The Fan 95.7 for his weekly bit -
On Levi - at some point Levi's going to be back in Rochester, they are balancing the 4 recalls, so he is likely to stay in Buffalo until after the next back-to-back.
On Rosen and Kulich - called them "great" again based on their overall play, not just being on the scorecard. No longer being used in mismatches, they are the team drivers (he's said that repeatedly now for about 2 months), getting 20 or more minutes per night.
On Wahlberg - Practiced today after long travel, won't be in the game on Wednesday but will dress for warmups/pre-game skate, meetings, etc... in Syracuse. "Good chance come the weekend" to see him getting in.
- Keeps tabs on all their prospects, but praised Mair and the dev staff on managing the handling of the various guys. Mentioned maybe getting Ostlund and Savoie if the Amerks can extend their season since they are likely to play late into their respective league playoffs.
- He's directed to build a winning environment and thinks the AHL playoff runs matter for the prospects (I would agree).
- Appert talked to Quinn yesterday, called him to check in to see how he was doing and got the info that he'd be back on the ice.
