Mohns was the very definition of a versatile player. Could (and did) play both offense and defence positions in his day ..... and was a member of a great line for years with Mikita and Wharram. An unheralded Blackhawk in the day when Hull, Mikita and Pilote got most of the press. RIP Doug.

So few comments to this thread? Of course most of the young whippersnappers who post here probably never saw him play...I did...A brilliant example of moving a good man uptown forward and having great success...which I would have liked us to try in the same manner with Leddy to utilize his talent better than as just a 3rd pair Man. Anyway hope Mohns is enjoying a few with the oldtomer Hawks who proudly wore the Indianhead and have now passed on. Fond memories of him and may he keep those for eternity in his resting place.

Unfortunately another name from my youth passes.

Still, brings back some nice memories, and that's what it's all about.

RIP.
