Frk, 1G 1A, +3, 4 Shots, 1st Star, in 2-4 Win (note Drouin was not involved in any of his scoring tonight and only put up an empty net goal)
Sproul, 1A, +1, in 5-4 Shootout loss (playin Center)
Quine, 1A, in 4-0 Win

I've gotta say I'm not thrilled with Sproul playing center. He's arguably the best offensive d-man in the CHL, not sure why you move a guy who has been absolutely dominant at his given position this year.

Seems like Sproul did play D at some point as the goal where he got +, Colin Miller was the only other D, Jared McCann got an assist and he's a C.

Yeah, looks like they got a minus with this unit:

Broll - Sproul - Alderson
Miller - Buonomo

And they got 2 plusses with these units:

Schumacher - McCann - Staples
Miller - Sproul

Fritsch - McCann - Tolchinsky
Miller - Sproul

That minus happened at 1st period and plusses in the 2nd, so maybe they changed their plan during the 1st intermission, and put Sproul back to defence.

CJ almost had a goal at the end there as well. He got a long pass from their goalie, then deked out 2013 draft eligible Robert Hägg kinda Datsyuk-style (backhand-forehand-backhand under Hägg's stick) and then was 1on1 with the goalie, deked to his backhand but couldn't finish it. This guy is such a treat to watch, can't wait to see him with the Wings/Griffins.

Athanasiou, 1G 1A, +1, 1st star, in 4-2 Win
Ouellet, 3 Shots, 1 Hit, in 3-2 Win I know he is more than a player who needs to contribute on offense to make a difference but he is really slumping the last few weeks. (point wise)

It's nice to see Greece Lightning go on a scoring binge.

Quine -1.
Hudon +1
Sproul 1a -3
Frk 1+1
AA2 1a +1
Nedolmel -1
Ouellet 0+0, -3...
Jensen 0+1, -1, 2 SOG
Marshall 0+0, -1, 3 SOG
McKee 0+1, -2, 1 SOG
De Haas 0+0

Has anyone seen Ouellet play lately? He has only one assist in his last 6 games.

Järnkrok had an assist in their 1-0 win. 21:11 icetime and 50% on faceoffs. Bäckman no points, a -1 and 18:08 icetime. Pulkkinen played 11:17.

On a better team/surroundings Calle could have had better production this year, but the SEL scoring is so low his 42 points is T6th in league scoring. One meaningless regular season game left before the playoffs.

But it's good to see him produce approximately as much as last year despite losing Silfverberg, since some people were saying JS helped his stats a lot last year. 3 goals less but Brynäs as a team have only scored 121 goals vs 148 last year.

I agree. He's a little better offensively, has taken steps defensively, improved on faceoffs, improved strength. A year in the right direction.

Logic, how does he go from PPG player to not have a point in 5-6 games if everything is allright? Just really poor since the world juniors, stats says everything here.

Or it might be like someone mentioned earlier and because the team picked up a new dman he isnt logging all the PP minutes anymore

He's injured and his job isn't to score.

being injured would fall into the category of "something is wrong with him" would it not?

and it may not be his whole job or even the most important part of it but part of his job is absolutely to score

Why are people making it sound like he never scores anymore? It might not be near the PPG numbers, but he still has 12 points in 19 games since the WJC.

If his ankle is still hurting I would say that is fine production.
