Getting outshot 37-22 is generally not the way to win hockey games.

And I'm sure we'll be able to go back to the games we got blown out while badly out-shooting the other team and see you sharing these exact same sentiments in support of the home team!

We're 25th in Goals per game. 21st in shots per game, and we generally get outshot on average.

Typically, teams that outshoot the other team but still can't score enough to win are teams that either have awful goaltending and/or a lack of high end talent that can finish. For us it's probably a mix. Yes, absolutely, outshooting the other team on a consistent basis should mean you have a good record. But we're not even really doing that most of the time.

We certainly did not deserve that result based on effort. Truthfully though, we probably deserved a better result a couple of times over the last dozen games. Such is an 82 game season.
