This is very sad, I met Red before Maine game vs Notre Dame about 5 years ago, he let me check out his Stanley Cup ring he won with the Devils in 1995, he wore it all the time, a very good man.
Sean Walsh connection at U Maine where he was Walsh’s assistant for the 1990 NCAA title run. RIP to them both as Walsh passed very young to cancer.
That was the Paul Kariya team maybe (Maine won 2 titles under Walsh and Kariya was the star of one - Maine was drawing a lot of Canadian kids back then).
Red suffered a medical incident on the golf course and passed quickly. He was hale and in great spirits earlier in the day. How fragile life is.

That was when I saw him at the coaching clinic. Video clips of Paul Kariya and Jim Montgomery. The most memorable part of his presentation was on "cycling" (a huge trend at the time).
He showed a clip of the Czech national team.
"Look how beautiful that is. Cycling. They're not doing a damn thing but it's pretty.
