Malkin infront of Ovechkin. Expected someone to do it, but care to explain? Also has Tukonen dropped that far? When was around he was supposed to be top 6 pick and was considered a steal at #11. Has had a few injury issues but has been doing pretty solid, definately solid enough not to drop out of the first round

Too early to tell. A lot of changes occur only because they are playing right now.

Nice to see David Booth getting some respect. Not that he'll ever be a bigtime scorer but he definitely was a nice pick. Ovechkin goes one, not too much changes at the top IMO.

Meszaros should jump up a lot, and i don't have the time to do the full draft...

If your doing it on the basis of what have you done in the NHL so far i would agree, but long term Campoli is destined to be a bottom pairing defenseman with upside of a good #4 guy. While he probably will have a better career then many of the guys on your list, most of them have way more upside then him and i would rank higher. It should also be noted Campoli was passed over the 2 previous drafts so he is 2 years older then mos of them as well.

good to see soderberg getting some love, considering he's yet to play in North America, was too old for the most recent WJC, plays on the last place team in the Elitserien, and recently was injured. He's got a chance to be a real good one in the NHL and one of the better players chosen in the entire draft....top 10 possibly.

Yeah, same thing for Kyle Chipchura. Long term, I believe that he should be in the first round. He will never be a big time point producer, but he will most likely become a captain of a NHL team while giving some character and defensive play to the Habs.

What has Radulov done to warrant being ahead of Wolski?

It's interesting, because some people thought that aside from Barker, that Meszaros was the best defenseman in the draft, I originally tabbed him #10 overall, but I was in that camp. Now everyone has him as the 1st or 2nd defenseman taken :sarcasm:

meszaros was really high on mckeens and iss ranking.
He was also the only player outside ovechkin to have played with his country world cup team.
I was surprised to see him drop past 15 !

I find it rather peculiar that people are putting Grabovski in the first round, but leaving Chipchura off their lists. I guess it just goes to show how people value offense and upside more than anything else in a prospect. Personally, I would take Chipchura over Grabovski without blinking an eye. Easy, easy choice.

i never liked chipchura and nevell will , unless he scores like the stanley cup game final goal..
he's slow footed without any offense.
He might have character and good defensive play but I would definately take the dynamite offensive wizzard in grabovski over him.
take note that im also a habs fans !

How is Cory Schneider dropping on some people's lists? Having taken the time to see all the first round goalies and Pogge live, I would say that Schneider is the best goalie taken. I would even say that its not really all that close either.
