Not much discussion about this prospect considering he is a consensus top 10. Seems to be going through a dry spell... "only" 2 pts in the last 5 games.

I would expect more even strength numbers from him.

Good thing Dobson is not strictly an offensive defenseman as his stats may suggest. The guy is +52 in his first 2 junior season, I think he can hold his own at 5 on 5 offensively or defensively.

You should expect any D+2 top 10 pick defenseman to contribute as a second pairing dman or else they're behind schedule in their development
Expecting a 20 year old to anchor the 2nd pairing is some high expectation.

I don’t see it at all.
Dobson reminds of me a right handed Klefbom. I don't see the elite ceiling but #2D is still very good. Both players were/are very raw during their draft years. What you can expect from them is 25-35 points a year in their prime but nothing otherworldly like 50+ points

That's just silly. Pietrangelo, who many have compared Dobson to, was in juniors in his D+2 season. He turned out alright.
