Went to refill my coffee and return to him sitting on the bench bleeding from his nose and his team on a powerplay. Missed what happened but Noah Welch got a major and game for checking to the head. Hope Rasmus is okay.

Missed today's game due to lecture. Farjestad lost 4-1, he was a -2 in 15:36 ToI and went 61% at the dot. He was chasing the goal scorer on GA1, uncharacteristically reaching and not in good body position as Emanuelsson beat him to the net with the puck. Similar on GA2 -- reaching and not striding to keep up with his man. Not sure what's up, those are pretty uncharacteristic plays for him.

Does anybody know how many games Farjestad has remaining? From what I know about the SHL, they've got to be down to under 10 games left (I think).

At 20 this kid is having a career year in Sweden. I like his passing and great 2 way game

Kind of a nagging suspicion that he still isn't the same as he was before the Welch incident.

Not playing to the whistle in OT, HV71 wins it as Asplund is very Sabres-esque in his late reaction to Tedenby who bangs in the winner. That was probably the worst play I've seen him make all year.

Check that -- saved by the review! No goal. Still didn't like how he got mesmerized by the puck coming over and how he didn't take Tedenby. That was about as un-Asplund a play as he's ever made while I've been watching.
