This isnt exacly a prospect thread so my apologies to the mods if they dont like this thread being here.

Here are the rules:
  • Rank these current NHL players based on HF prospect criteria
  • So if you put 9, your saying that the player is an elite player with hall of afme potential
  • 8 is a good if not great first line forward/top dfensemen/great goalie
  • etc....

Federov
Forsberg
Lecavilier
Richards, Brad
Jackman
Broduer
Thorton
Sundin
Bonk
Hossa
Legwand
Nabakov
Kippersof
Esche

Feel free to add players

Seeing as most of these players have already proven they are legit NHLers... I don't see a point putting the 'A', 'B', 'C', or 'D' beside the number..

Here's mine:

Federov - 8.5
Forsberg - 9
Lecavilier - 8.5
Richards - 8
Jackman - 7.5
Broduer - 9.5
Thornton - 9
Sundin - 8.5
Bonk - 7.5
Hossa - 8.5
Legwand - 7.5
Nabakov - 8
Kippersof - 7.5
Esche - 7.5

ABCD for example....

Lindros is a very good player with injury problems. He is a star when on his game and .... well one hit away from ending his career. Therefore he could be a 9D for the fact that he was dominate and still can be, he just usually isnt.

Ex2: Jagr...great player when h wants to be, however his lack of heart keeps him from being that great, therefore he might get a 9C.

Ex3. Esche, a young goalie who has done great in the SC and WC, yet he hasnt proved himself consistently. when he does, he could be an 8A.

EX4. Kipper...same with Esche, one good season doesnt put him with the elite of the league, so he could be a 8.5C 8B etc...

:shakehead: Wait till next year...You won't be saying that then!

:shakehead

No, next year I'd still be saying that, just like every other knowledgeable hockey fan should. And I am a Pens fan.

Ric Jackman is NOT an 8.5-ranked Dman. Period.

How isn't Fedorov at least a 9 on some peoples list? :dunno:

I was thinking the same. To me he is in the same class of Forsberg if not better (as for skills alone, Peter is clearly dominant and less lazy)

Don't forget, Fedorov is getting up there in age, his physical skills have started to deteriorate.

Ric Will Be A Top D-Man

I guarantee Ric Jakcman will be a top 3 d-men in the NHL on any team he plays for, hes proving it right now playing on the worst team, he just needed abit of a confidence booster, I beleive Ric went 5th overall to Dallas in 96, he will live up to expectations. U watch
