Yes, that explains why the Habs are always on CBC Hockey Night in Canada prime time 7:00pm slot...because "they have arguably the larger fanbase".

There's a reason why the Maple Leaf games are broadcast in China and Australia and not the Canadiens. Take a wild guess why that is.

Furthermore, the majority of Canadiens fans speak French. Be lucky you can't understand or speak French because toxicity would go to a whole new level if you knew what Habs Nation was feeling right now.

It may be like that in China or Australia, but in Europe the most marketable NHL team is the habs, by a margin.

Of all teams, there's no particular hype about the leafs.

No hate on the lower ranked teams on the list, it comes down to my enjoyment of watching certain players play. I more than anything just want to see the cup won by a Canadian team again. At the same time, seeing the Penguins win a third in a row would be fantastic as well. That was fun

I don't cheer for anyone but the Hawks. I don't want anyone else to ever win anything.

I however actively root AGAINST certain teams more than others: Detroit, St.Louis, Vancouver, Montreal, NY Rangers, Detroit, Sharks, Washington, Tampa Bay, Boston, Toronto, New Jersey, Detroit, Colorado and Detroit. And a few others.

I might hate-watch their games against other teams and in a way cheer for their opponents, even if I'm otherwise against that other team winning as well.
