    Hey guys,

I'm new here. I've played roller hockey since I was 8 (I'm 19) and I'm going to start playing pick up games here at the local rink. I've practiced skating on ice and it's awesome, just need to work on skating faster and stoping.

I was wondering, what do you wear under your padded shorts other than a cup? I have all my gear except my shorts, and I'm going to start playing in the coming weeks. Thanks guys.

from what I have seen for ice hockey none wear a padded short or girdle like those used in roller. Most just wear the Hockey Pant and jock w/cup. Some wear a compression short with the velcro tabs and cup built in under the hockey pant but there isnt added padding in the shorts.

I use the Shock Doctor compression shorts with a cup. The velcro keeps my socks up and the compression shorts keep everything in its place. If you buy good ice hockey pants you won't have a problem, they are built solid.
