Question about NHL 18?

Was wondering when you create a custom team, if the commentators and announcers actually say the city and team name in NHL 18? For example, will they actually say Quebec Nordiques, Minnesota North Stars, and Hartford Whalers?

Also, have the names in create a player been expanded?

Yes they do.

Nordiques play by play name is not in the game.
Closest you can choose from under "N" is "No Dekes"

Wonder why though, as far as I know the NHL owns the trademark.

NHL doesn't make the game. EA does.
EA probably have to pay rights to use it and then record it.
Or they didn't bother to include it.

Me neither. If they put the ability to bring back vintage teams in an expansion, it's reasonable to assume that they would could at least do those teams.
