Question about a player

Lasse Kopitz is his name. He is a German player on the world cup roster. The reason I ask about him, is that I am surprised that he is not playing in the NHL or at the very least was never drafted. He's big, his numbers are good and he seems to be getting better. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this player. Maybe something I don't as to why he hasn't been picked up by someone?

Try to ask it on the Western Hockey Board.

I´m from Germany, but i don´t see Kopitz on a regular base.
From what i recall: Kopitz is a nice fill-in guy who´s able to play defense and wing.

Kopitz is good in the corners and good in front of the net.
His footspeed isn´t that great and his hands are solid at best.
He a player with a big will, that what brought him so far.
I don´t see Kopitz playing in the NHL - he´s solid, but not spectacular or that great in defense in the German Elite League (DEL).

I´m all for it that Kopitz gets a chance, but i don´t see the chance coming.
