But it will take some diehard motivating from Ville Peltonen and Olli Jokinen even to win against russia.

Canada's D toyed with the Slovakian forwards in the 3 (or 4?) games they played against them leading up to and in the World Cup, and it's almost the same roster on either side (Slovak big gunners vs. rough and tumble Canadian D). Even though the Canadian D looks very rusty so far I don't see that changing enough to swing the game to the Slovaks. The Slovak forwards seem to slow down to a crawl once the big D-men like Regher and Hannan start pounding on them down low.
