Would be nice if Latvia won, so some NHL teams could take notice and adapt some of the strategy.

How could anyone possible want to see this type of hockey in the NHL? It's absolutely brutal to watch

It is, but it's effective. It's neutralized a lot of the most creative players in the game. If some of the bottom-tier NHL teams were able to adapt a version of this, it could make things more interesting and shift the paradigms of modern hockey.

It would be significantly harder though, because of the rink size. In the NHL it's easier to hold the line because of the wide of the line. The point shot is more effective, and it's also easier to shoot for a rebound from the point. Cycling in the corner is a bit more effective due to proximity.

It is the only way Latvia has any chances. They do whatever it takes to have a chance. Stop whining, it is not pretty but it is effective. Latvia has nothing to match the skill of Sweden. But with heart, team play and defensive system they might have a small chance. I appreciate it.
