There will be two different pro women leagues now. The PWHPA and PHF recently sat down with the NHL to hash out some kind of treaty between the two organizations, but the PWHPA ultimately decided against working together with PHF...so now there will be competing leagues. Furthermore, it's expected they will be occupying the same geographic footprint to some extent. It will interesting to see how this showdown unfolds.
