Spiller for Phoenix

The Coyotes have 7 defensemen. Francis will likely dress 7, but if he only dressed 6, Spiller may be the one who sits.

You got it right as far as Montreal is concerned.

The last cut has been made earlier today, and Chris Higgins wasn't sent down to the AHL, and will likely play the first 2 games of the regular season. Same goes for Micheal Ryder, who by the way was the Habs' best scorer in pre-season games... as for Komisarek, he's pretty much a lock for the first game, in Ottawa.

Just announced:

Alex Semin, Steve Eminger, Boyd Gordon make the Caps last cut.

:yo:

As noted above! :D

Gordon should last at least until Nylander returns...cool news for the Caps..finally going with the youth!

Islanders still have Sean Bergenheim, Justin Papineau, Justin Mapletoft and Trent Hunter up. There are room for three of them right now.

Once Weinhandl comes back (2 weeks I believe) and Scatchard is ready (day to day) two more will probably go to Bridgeport.

Some are assuming Bergenhiem will be sent back to Finland after a 10 game stint or so, leaving Papineau as the primary offensive callup.

Higgins and Komisarek will be scratches for the opener. Hainsey will play, although I would bet a 2$ that in the end, Komisarek stays and Hainsey goes down when Francis Bouillon comes back from his injury.

Starting lineup

Hossa - Ribeiro - Zednik
Bulis - Perreault - Audette
Sundstrom - Juneau - Dackell
Dwyer - Ward - Ryder

Markov - Rivet
Souray - Quintal
Hainsey - Brisebois

There are six rookies for the Habs:

Komisarek, Higgins, Hainsey, Ward, Hossa and Ryder.

www.rds.ca

Ward and Hossa are not rookies anymore. They both played more than 25 NHL games.

I also need some info about current rosters, with regards to which prospects are going to be in the line-up opening night...specifically

S.Ott-Dallas
A. Smirnov-Anahiem
J.Rita-Edm
D. Roy-Buff
J. Jillson-Bos
M.Komisarek-Mon
A. Polushin-tbay

Does a website exist that posts everyteams opening night rosters?

Thanks

As far as I know, Poloushin is playing in Russia. He wasn't even in training camp.

Here's a link showing that he has already played in Russia.

Dimitry Afanasenkov made the Lightning pretty much out of nowhere. Scored a goal opening night and has been playing on Lecavalier's line.

Like I wrote in the story... Polushin is still in Russia playing for CSKA. He has 5 goals and 7 points in 12 games so far.
