So did TB against the Jagr Caps if I remember correctly...

Yes they did but they didn’t go to the cup. Also pens did it in 2009 against us as well. And us against the Rangers that same year

Caps will win the next 2 to give all fans hope just to lose again in game 7

We all know it’s gonna happen

Grabbing my tiny violin.

It’s a 7 games series....losing 0-2 is hardly catastrophic or insurmountable. Not my first rodeo. ;)

theyre gonna make this entire series as heartbreaking as possible. I imagine we'll lose tonight and then win three straight and then lose in triple overtime in game 7 after ovechkin hits the post 5 times, then holtby will give up a flukey goal to end it

Putting Djoos in over Jerabek is another move by Barry Trotz that I can't agree with in the playoffs. I get that he got beat and it led to a goal but the whole punish a player for a mistake in the last game is something that should not carry over in the playoffs.

I know Jerabek is the 6th dman so it really doesn't make that big of a deal but the team has played better with him in the lineup over Djoos.

Here's to proving me wrong

We are guaranteed at least two more games worth of entertainment.

Let's see a Vrana goal assisted by Djoos.

There is no outcome that would be incredibly surprising here -- from winning 4 straight to getting swept.

Winning 4 straight would be the definition of incredibly surprising... as in unheard of.

Have they ever won 4 straight playoff games?

Edit: yes in 2009. Won the last 3 against the Rangers and the first 2 against Pittsburgh.

They've won 4 straight across other series a few other times.

1988 w with 3 vs Philly then the first vs vs NJ.
1991 last 3 vs NYR then first vs Pens.

They've never won 4 straight in a series. They don't need to, yet, but it would be nice. Lose tonight and they will have to come up with a franchise miracle.
