Forwards: Malkin will play with Parshin. They had great chemistry at U-18 and in Sweden. Ovechkin will play with Pestunov for the same reason. Radulov, Yun'kov and Voloshenko will play together - don't need to explain. A. Nikulin will be with main team, I don't doubt about it. He is doing great this season and already showed that he is competitive on international level with U-18 and U-20 team. Glazachev probably would play with Khomutov and Shafigulin.

Defense: Panin and Vorobiev will play together cause they are both from Lada.
Add there Belov, Amakhin and Aksenenko. I doubt about Karetin chances. Scratch Ezhov and Nikitin.

Goalies: Khudobin will play at WJC but I doubt about Borisov cause he isn't doing well. Sidikov could be there as backup goalie.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm pretty sure Richards will be back with Stewart and Dawes this year. They're so good together.

Picard is one of my favourite prospects, as is Chipchura who I though should have gone top 10 last year, but I don't think either will make the team. Though they've both played well enough.

Richards' playmaking skill with Picard and Fehr scoring touch would be just... brutal.

As a Blues fan I'm looking forward to seeing that top line. I've heard they have great chemistry together (Soderburg and Fredriksson that is)

There is no way any of these forwards go ahead of center Ville-Vesa Vainiola.

Also I think Aleksis Ahlqvist will be the backup goalie.

I don't want to bring up anything, but this swedish team looks better than the last years. Quite good depth on all positions except at center.

Any chance Klimov makes the team. He has been playing for Moscow Spartak this season and apparently well.

The Swedish junior program has gone into a massive decline. They started teaching systems in juniors instead of working with the players and honing their skills and developing players. Therefore you get a whole bunch of players who are good enough to be drafted but not good enough to be top notch, blue chip prospects and before long will be surpassed by Switzerland's junior program, if it already hasn't happened a la USA and Slovakia.

Imho, all Moscow Spartak players suck a little bit ;) Maybe except Dmitry Semin ;)
Let count D-men who could play at WJC : Amakhin, Plehanov, Kosmachev, Lyamin, Belov, Pervyshin, Vorobiev, Megalinsky, Panin, Rylov, Aksenenko, Karetin.
I doubt about Klymov chances. Maybe someone would correct me.

No chance IMO cause Klimov is often dressed for the games but see very little ice-time, staying on the bench for all game.
Vorobiev, Panin (both - "Lada"), Pervyshin ("Ak Bars"), Rylov ("Dynamo"), Belov (CSKA), Megalinsky ("Lokomotiv"), should make WJC for sure.
Another players which could make the squad are Plehanov ("Neftekhimik"-"Molot"), Misharin ("Neftekhimik"), Seluyanov ("Salavat Yulaev").
