Exactly.....which is why I put 3 on my list....and only 5 on last season's, so I might not be way off with this.

There will be a sleeper in the top 10, maybe in the top 5, someone that no one would think would be there.

IMO you have Kessel and Schremp way too low.

Wow. I'm impressed that Shirokov wasn't even mentioned :shakehead

He was 3rd in scoring last year for Russia only behind Ovechkin and Malkin. He's second (tied with Salmonsson ) with 8 points among returning scorers. He has good season in Russia with 12 points (7G+5A) in 28 games for CSKA (well, last year he had 0 points in 8 games).

Is there any real reason why one of the top scorers from last WJC will suck this year ? :dunno:

Top scorers for team Russia I expect to be Malkin, Radulov, Voloshenko, Shirokov, Lemtyugov. 2-3 of them we can expect in top 10, will depend who plays with Malkin.

Kessel loves the spot light to be directly on him, he thrives off of personal competition more then team competition.

I expect him to be the 2nd leading scorer behind Malkin.

I wonder if his mom is going to be yelling at the other team from the stands.

:) Oops.

Looking at last year's though, it looks like linemates of the top talents tend to figure highly. Malkin is the red hot favorite and he's going to carry one or two players with him.

Yun'kov is top 20 in RSL scoring. Doing better than Semin, Chistov, Svitov, Kharitonov, and many other players North American fans may know.

Lisin and SHirokov should do well, and dont count out Radulov... but I think Yun'kov will be second in RUssian scoring after Malkin.

You mixed him up with another Yunkov (Alexander). Mikhail Yunkov isn't doing extremely well (4 pts (2+2) in 20 games) but he is playing on a pretty deep team. Anyway, I think we can expect the old line Voloshenko - Yunkov - Radulov. Though there are few players who is doing better on a scoresheet at the moment and who knows maybe will challenge him for that second line spot.
