I'm beginning to think that Brock McGinn might sniff Chis Terry prediction territory. He's got 40 points in him....

McGinn is already up to 25 points, so not sure you are too far out on that limb saying he'll hit 40.

Oh, you meant 40 in one season. NVM....

In all seriousness, while aggressive, I think predicting McGinn hits 40 is more realistic than Terry. McGinn plays a style of game that Peters likes so he'll likely stay in the starting line-up and get more playing time than Terry ever would.

I was only 1/2 joking....he's been a scorer at all other levels and he's got a very nice shot. Add to that the fact that he does go to the "dirty areas" and it is easier to see than my boy CT. If I had one wish, I'd like to see him work on his release; it does take him some time to get the puck off of his stick.

Bump: Since half the season is in the books, I figured I'd do an end of season pace for each player to see how they are doing (provided I didn't mess up the formula in my spreadsheet like I did last year). Guys in RED are ones that I think are not doing as well as some/most expected. There are others doing better than expected though.

Williams will score less than 45 points this year.

He scored 52 and 48 on the best regular season team in the league the last two years.

If he's our leading scorer we are in major trouble.

I didn’t even do a team prediction. I just decided to throw this one very confident prediction out there and crash and burn.

Totals goals scored by Hurricanes : 228

In my opinion how players did based on my predictions :
Very good- Williams, Turbo, Aho, McGinn (didn't predict but also Foegele, Zykov)
Decent- TVR, Hanifin, Slavin, Pesce, Dahlbeck, Ryan, Necas, Roy, McKeown
Bad- Fleury, Staal, Lindy, Jooris, PDG, Wallmark
Awful- Skinner, Kruger, Kuoks, Nordy, Rask, Stempniak, Faulk

Players written in italic font - take it with a grain of salt.

Also there are other factors like games played and minutes, but this is just based on pure statistics and my predictions before season and what were my expectations for players.

Here’s my guess from the main board thread.

Skinner-65 49
Aho-50 65
Lindholm-50 44
Rask-50 31
Williams-45 51
Teravainen-45 64
Staal-40 46
Faulk-40 31
Stempniak-35 9
Hanifin-35 32
Slavin-30 30
Ryan-30 38
Pesce-20 19
TVR-15 16
Fleury-15 8
Nordstrom-15 7
Kruger-15 6
Jooris/McGinn/DiGuiseppe-30 total between the three of them

Jooris had 6 before getting waived/traded. McGinn had 30 on his own. PDG finished with 13.

Dahlbeck-5 5

I’m pretty happy with how close most of these were.
