Predict where some of these players could land and at what salary.

Who gets the biggest pay increase? Who takes the biggest pay cut? (For both of these let's go with %)

Cole or Myers with biggest drop? Joshua or Hronek with biggest increase

Canucks keep Cole, Myers, Joshua, Blueger, and maybe DeSmith.

Zadorov probably gets overpaid by someone desperate for size, Lafferty is replaceable.

Canucks can't afford to pay DeSmith more than his $1,8 mill cap hit. So, if he gets more playing time and thus higher pay elsewhere, he will leave.

Bleuger as a C, probably the forward to keep. Joshua, bigger body, probably the next one to try to keep. RFAs will all keep around. Lindholm has not fit in. So, no justification for a big contract for him from the team. See if he can contribute in the PO.

Myers better for him to just walk. Zadorov, anything above $4.5 mill they can't afford to pay.

I'm amazed that Cole is still chugging along. I can't see him being worth even 3M, but maybe he has improved since he was at MN.

Lindholm has lost himself a lot of money with his play this year, but if he has a good playoffs that he could make it back.

If Silovs is ready I think we'd let DeSmith walk.
Myers is rumored to want to re-sign for around $3.5 million, which should be considered palatable in a top-4 role especially if we keep a defensive partner like Cole (who I think we should re-sign for the same cost, or at most the same $3.5 million). Zadorov I think should be considered to replace Myers if they're down to sign for the same dollar, since he's probably more stable (and Hronek looks like he'll get paid). Joshua I hope we re-sign as long as it's within $2.5 million, short contract and no clause. Blueger would be good to keep but likely wouldn't be the toughest to replace (same with Lafferty).

Clearly says "Predict where some of these players could land and at what salary."...

Lindholm - I think he signs in Washington or Boston - between 6 and 7 million
Cole - retires
Blueger - Back to the Canucks @ 2.1 million/2 years
Lafferty - Seattle 3 years, 3.5 total over the 3 years
Zadorov - Back to the Canucks - 4 million for 5 years, NMC
DeSmith - Lots of teams need him so who knows, isn't back with the Canucks though
Joshua - Hopefully back with Canucks @ 3mil for 4 years

That would be an ugly contract to sign zadorov to. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets it, but it sounds like he won't be staying in Vancouver

I get that in this market but the cap is going to go up and he brings a skill set that not many players out there bring. If he signs elsewhere I hope it is to a team out East, cause I don't want that guy on an opposing team in the Western conference.

Like EP up until a month ago, hard to say with everyone until they know what they're looking at with Hronek, I feel like they'll wind up doing something like 8x7.5 with him

Bringing Silovs up in place of DeSmith seems like the simplest way to save some cap and Bains and Podkolzin should both be able to play bottom 6 roles. I think they hang on to Blueger, Joshua, Myers and the RFAs

Blueger 3x2.75
Joshua 3x3
Myers 2x3.5
Maybe Cole 1x2

Someone is going to overpay Zadorov and I don't think it will be Vancouver, he'll get 5x4.75ish somewhere
