The Nashville Predators have made their first move in the offseason, dealing away their first line right wing Kristian Huselius. The team also parted ways with 3rd line speedster Jason Chimera and a 4th round selection in 2009 for winger Chris Higgins and centre Viktor Kozlov.

"Key to the deal was Higgins. He is a young promising forward with plenty of two-way ability, something that fits well at our team. Kozlov is a big body, with very good skills, he should be the setup man for Rick Nash next season" GM Kapfenberger said about the deal.

Word is that Kapfenberger and Ottawa GM Simpson have been in talks regarding Higgins for a few months, but a deal was not finalized until today.
