Power skating

I put my son in a power skating coarse for this weekend. 6 sessions on the ice.
He did great last year and hopefully it helps him again this year.

Anyone else take power skating when they were young? Did it help?

I started playing minor hockey late (around 14). I took a power skating class for a year. It helped immensely. I'm still not the greatest skater but I improved dramatically after power skating.

These days I skate better backwards than forwards (lot of backwards skating drills). As such I'm usually in net or playing defense.

I highly recommend it, even if you're a decent skater.
