The depressing thing is seeing the same predictable pattern every time. Same tossing it around the blue line and corners, same lack of movement and lack of cross-ice passes. Last year when the PP was going well there were a lot of quick passes to guys near the crease that led to scores (Gagner and Wennberg involved in a lot of those). That proved unsustainable after December, as did the ability to get set up quickly in the zone.

With the willingness the coach has shown to changing things up, just surprised they continue with the boring sameness. They've made personnel changes but the stuff they are attempting to do looks depressingly the same after they get set up. It'd be one thing if they were trying new things that weren't working, but this is the old line of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Remember two years ago when Jenner scored 30 goals and we all complained because they were the dirty, greasy variety and rarely a slick looking thing of beauty. Hell, why not put Jenner with the first unit PP and stand directly in front of the net and don't move from that area. That would require the other team to move their guys around to try and move him out and maybe open up some shooting lanes and get a rebound.

Jenner has been on the first unit the past two games
