Just a question, not pressing, what's the time limit for everyone? I ask because I fly to Korea on the 25th and that flight takes some time.

We'll try 4 hours unless you state that you are going to need extra time for whatever the reason.

could always pm a list to someone... and they could pick the top available.

and Vedder19 I wasn't trying to rush tihs... just making the observation that 2 straight picks is solid for getting two top end talents but not definite stars like nash, lecavalier... etc...

It's all good. I believe I've seen Katodelder on the board just waiting for him to make his selection

The Edmonton Oilers would like to file a grievance. We believe we should be moving up three spots ahead of Pheonix, Colorado & Carolina. Edmonton's team has been established longer than these three ex-WHA/relocated teams.

If they came into the league the same year than I put names in a hat and randomly drew them out.

The Edmonton Oilers are filing another grievance. We believe the Edmonton Oilers were established in Edmonton 2 years before the Calgary Flames, therefore we should be moving four spots up the ladder.

Gotta love lawyers..................... :D

Columbus is in ... and respectfully requests an official explanation as to the draft order. How it was determined, and such.

Hey all. I looked up the year each team came into the league and went form earliest to latest. On numerous years there were a number of teams that came into the league. To determine who went first I threw the names in a hat and randomly drafted them. Hope that helps. We're just waiting on "Barnaby". I can't contact him as his private message box is full.

Hey Vedder, did you think running this draft would be easy??

I'm not complaining or whining, just looking for a bit of a competive edge I suppose. I did think it was an oversight and a legitimate question though. Edmonton did come into the league before Colorado, Calgary, Carolina & Pheonix. That is what you stated as how you came up with the draft order?

Based on this set up, the Ottawa Senators should be picking first shouldn't they?

Well with those 3 organizations I based in on their former cities. Winnipeg,Quebec, and Hartford. As for Ottawa, they left th eleague so I based that on their recent joining.

Edmonton came into the league at the same time as the other franchises : Quebec (Colorado), Hartford (Carolina) & Winnipeg (Phoenix). This is just for fun anyways...let's not make it any harder than it has to be.

The Edmonton Oilers have fired their legal council and dropped a third grievance claiming Jerome Iginla should be property of the Oilers due to territorial rights.

They as an organization are satisfied with the current draft order and respectfully apologize for any inconveniance they have caused.

So if Barnaby hasn't picked by 630pm atlantic time (430pm central time) than we will continue with the next GM in line.
