Player height/weights that shock you

In regards to Malkin: Im 6'7, a bit skinny but still 245 pounds. I imagine has more muscle than me so he should be at least 210.

this thread just reminded me how stupid the US standard system of measurement is. Metric system is far superior, it's in multiples of 10. You Canadians and Euro's count your belssings.

Canadians tend to measure height in imperial . I use it for work too just cuz most drawings are in inches.

And UK uses miles instead of km from what my British friends say

Looks like hes 5'9-5'10 150 out there.

He plays hunched over a lot. I'd bet he's bout 5'11.5 so they round up.

Met a few nhl players Clarke MacArthur, I'm 6'2 and he's listed as 6'0 which is spot on. Spooner and pageau are both 5'10 but I think Spooner is close to it while pageau is smaller then that for sure.

Zero chance that Ovi is 6'2. I am just a touch over 6'2 and when I met him in person I had a couple inches on him easily.

I'm 6' and he was a good 2-3 inches taller than me when I met him.

I am actually surprised that NHL players are given 1-2 inches on the real heights. I know the NBA does a lot, but I didn’t know they were doing it in the NHL.

Makes sense because I was always wondering how Subban, who is about my height and body shape as me (I am 5’11” 185lbs) was listed at 210 pounds. He is listed at 6’0” so that inch does make a difference but not for 35 lbs.

NBA measures heights in shoes.

I've always thought he's around my height at 5'9ish but didn't he measure 5'10.5" at the combine?

People are taller in the morning and still it can vary if the sleep was good or not so good. But why is the combine measuring some guys in the morning, some in the afternoon after many drills and few guys with shoes haha ...
But the best is some guys at the combine are not measured, their manager tells the combine how tall they are !!!

In the jets/preds game today Josi and Wheeler were both talking to the refs after the disallowed goal and they were the same height. Josi is listed at 6'2" and Wheeler is listed as 6'5".
