Yeah what were you gonna do with only Crosby, Malkin, Plekanec and Sheahan right? They might as well not let you play in the playoffs with such **** center depth.

Cullen has only been so-so this season, Letestu is having a rough go of it, and Plek is more of a defensive specialist. So I'm glad they acquired a player to ease the burden off of Crosby and Malkin when it comes to offence.

A player can be good while also not being that valuable. Sheahan is a good player, but I would say he's not all that valuable in a trade.

Under normal circumstances, I'd say that Cole would 100% bring back a 2nd round pick at the deadline. Considering the market, it may be less than that. He'll still probably be traded for a 2nd, but it's not a given anymore. And even with that, 2nd round picks aren't all that valuable in the 1st place. Then again, maybe I just view them like that because of how the Penguins treat them

Looking at how the trades went down and Tobias Lindberg has got to be feeling pretty good about himself. By far the most valuable piece twice in one day.
