With regards to Philadelphia, I'd definitely choose the following from New Jersey:

Zach Parise
Anton Kadeykin
Tuomas Pihlman

If it were the Rangers, I'd go with the following:

Fedor Tyutin
Alvaro Montoya
Nigel Dawes

Minnesota (if they were the North Stars):

Chicago Blackhawks:
Forward: Tuomo Ruutu- Minnesota could really use a guy like Ruutu who is physical but can score goals.

Defense: Anton Babchuk- His slapper would be nice on defense, coupled with Burns, could be down right deadly

Goaltender: Corey Crawford or Adam Munro- Wild could use a solid goaltender with huge upsides

Minnesota (Wild)
Vancouver Canucks

Forward: Evengy Gladskikh- Outside of needing a solid top 6 forward that is physical (Foy could eventually pan out to be one), Minnesota could always use another solid goal scorer. Gladskikh sounds like a real winner and pair up Gaborik probably could be a solid 1-2 combo or Voloshenko and Gladskikh...Either that or they could give someone a headache trying to pronouce their names.
(Second would be Marc- Andre Bernier)

Defense: Denis Grot - Minnesota could use another offensive defenseman in their system.

Goaltender: Julien Elis Plante- I love the kid upside.

Nice!

Since the Wild are too young IMO to have a true NHL rival, I'll go with their ratings rival in Minnesota...the Gophers!!! :)

Forwards Ryan Potulny, Kris Chucko and defenseman Alex Goligoski

Woulda said Kellen Briggs, because of our serious lack of depth at goaltender, but not too high on his upside.

If anyone in the NHL, it's Vancouver and I'd say:

Forward Ryan Kesler, Defensman Kiril Koltsov and Goalie Cory Schneider...I know, not too exciting...

Team: Devils

Rival: Rangers
F: Balej (for skill, but Jessiman would fit the Devs better if he could reach his potential)
D: Tyutin
G: Montoya

Rival: Isles
F: Nilsson, Papineau, Bergenheim

Rival: Flyers
F: Richards, Carter
D: Pitkanen (or Seidenberg)

Rival: Pens (they're in our division, so I'll go with it)
F: Malkin
D: Whitney
G: Fleury

Rival: Leafs (not in our division, but I hate them and I'm at school and bored)
F: Steen, Earl (just watch)
D: Colaiacovo

Rival: Sens (welcome to the ECF)
F: Vermette, Eaves
D: Mezaros

It makes me feel warm and mushy inside knowing how much our rivals covet Devil's prospects.

From a Capitals perspective the historical rival would be Pittsburgh:
Malkin, Whitney, Welch

Tempted to say Ryan Stone, just to play him with Fehr, but he's not in the same class as the others, even excluding Fleury.

As rivalries go these are new, but since divisional rivals play each other roughly every other game now...

Atlanta:
Lehtonen, Coburn, uh... I guess Valabik, if I have to take three

Carolina:
Ward, Ladd, Zigomanis

Florida:
Horton, Olesz, Stewart

Too many great prospects from SE divisional rivals are recent graduates.

Nashville really only has three rivals (they still need time to fester and grow) and two of those rivals probably don't return the love (or lack thereof)...

Columbus would be easy. All forwards (even though I'm not supposed to): Zherdev, Fritsche, and Picard. We need centers (Fritsche) and we need scorers (Zherdev, Picard). LeClaire intrigues me but I just don't think he's an upgrade from Finley. At least not enough to bypass those three.

Detroit: They really don't have anyone I'm drooling over right now, but if I had to pick three, it would be Kronwall, Liv, and Howard. Kronwall because I think he has the most value of all the Wings picks and could be dealt for something shortly down the road. And Liv and Howard make a solid goaltending base that could come in reall handy if and when Finley never pans out.

Calgary: They are starting to become a rival. The fans probably don't get into it as much (though they do on these boards), but the teams hate each other (I'm sure Sutter v. Trotz; Iginla v. Vokoun/Tootoo; Kipper v. Vokoun; Oliwa v. decency would be nice matchups). I'd taken Phaneuf in a heart beat then I would have to think. Chucko is nice but he really isn't a need. Ditto Ramholt. Nystrom hasn't impressed me at all and neither really has Krahn. I'd probably end up taking Phaneuf, Chucko (and looking to deal either him or one of our other wingers), and Ramholt (and looking to deal either him or one of our other Dmen).

Heh. Well, at least I'm not alone on this one, huh Till?

I didn't even see your post.

I'll do the Rangers too. I guess they are a rival...

F: Balej and Korpikoski
G: None
D: Pock

I know Tjutin is rated higher, but Pock impressed me just as much or more in the games I saw him in last year against the Pens.

NONE for goalie?!? :shakehead Try Montoya, Blackburn and Lundqvist

No, none for goalie.

I am satisfied with the Penguins depth at goaltender at this juncture. But I don't deny the very talented guys in the Rangers system at that position. Heck, even after those three (of which I think Lundqvist will be the best) you still have Labarbera, who isn't too shabby.

I would rather have two more talented forwards with some attainable offensive upside and another solid young defenseman if I'm only picking three. The former is much more of a concern for the Penguins organization right the moment.

But yeah... I was tempted to take Lundqvist.

yea because the #1 ranked NCAA goalie isnt a good prospect..nor Danny Blackburn....but you consider LABARBERA who is just terrible in the NHL as not 2 shabby :shakehead
