Wasnt Sanheim a disappointing bust according to you yesterday because he is in the AHL behind Manning and others?
Today he is worth a young 40pts + fwd? Which is it?

Travis Sanheim is most certainly not a bust. He actually played quite well by advanced stats when he was in the NHL, and really only made mistakes most young offensive defenseman make when they enter the NHL.

He has 15 points in 13 AHL games since being sent down, and the Phantoms are 10-1-2 since he joined them. I don't know much about Reinhart but based on upside I'm guessing the value is pretty similar. I don't think the Flyers do this and I wouldn't want them to anyway.

He's demolishing the AHL and clearly NHL ready and will certainly be an impact top 4 dman in under 2 years.

They also lack defenseman
No they don't. Provorov and Ghost are going to be top pairing defenseman for years to come. 3rd pairing defenseman are a dime a dozen and Hagg is going to be get better and be a great 3rd pairing guy. The Flyers need a couple of second pairing D and with Sanheim, Morin, and Myers they don't need all three. Furthermore, getting rid of MacDonald and Manning is addition by subtraction. Their defense is in better shape moving forward than the wing position.

But their defense isn't there yet. They currently have no 2nd pair. That is where Sanheim should be right now

He isn't ready. That is what so many prospect obsessed Flyers fans don't realize. They keep clamoring for Sanheim but don't realize that if he was ready to be that guy he would be on the big club. It's cool to bash Hakstol though so people just do that. Obviously Hextall agrees.

He's more ready than Manning, Hagg and MacDonald. Sanheim was perfectly fine when he was paired with Gudas
