He signed a deal with St. Louis and was waived at the end of training camp. Nobody claimed him, so they mutually voided his deal and he left back for Switzerland. So I would say that no, he's not an NHL level player any more.

At least not for a stacked team like St.Louis. For a team like Buffalo however, probably.
