Dominik Simon has fallen out of the top 5 but wins 8th place by a large margin. I guess this is where the free-for-all really starts. Added Anthony Angello.

Results so far (and change from last year):
#1 Daniel Sprong (96.58%) (-)
#2 Tristan Jarry (65.65%) (+5)
#3 Zach Aston-Reese (80.19%) (new)
#4 Filip Gustavsson (58.49%) (+2)
#5 Teddy Blueger (42.00%) (+5)
#6 Zachary Lauzon (27.96% in #6 poll, 56.58% in runoff) (new)
#7 Josh Archibald (26.88% in #6 poll, 43.42% in runoff) (+6)
#8 Dominik Simon (50.59%) (-4)

My next 4 or so will be Bengtsson, Johnson, Olund, Tiffels, Lafferty,
I'll go with Bengtsson but i understand if he doesn't get the votes here.

I'll admit i've seen barely any of Lafferty's on ice abilities, so it's harder to judge him compared to the rest at this point.

Before I cast my vote - how much weight should I put on Scandinavian mens league performances vs College?

No clue at this point. I voted Tiffels because his speed probably makes him a good bet to at least have a cup of coffee on the 4th line at some point.

Not perfect though, but leagues tend to be ranked similarly.

I think top swedish league (SHL) could be slightly above AHL, while (SM-Liiga)Finland is around both but hard to say, of course that also has to see a very different sized rinks from the Swedish league to NHL, so there's some adjustments there.

Skill wise I think both are considered higher than even top college levels conferences.

Thanks.

In which case, after a bit of internal bickering, Almari.

Reason 1 - This is me regurgitating other people's opinions, and I don't think I've heard one of our scouts say that a player *will* play in Pittsburgh about any other of our prospects. Guy who discovered Jake was real confident about Johnson and said he could maybe make the squad this year, but no one else who will do it. And that's what Sexton said about Almari. Good enough for me.

Reason 2 - For a dman to be hanging in men's hockey at 19 is pretty impressive. That he went back down to the U20s and torched the play-offs post-season is nice too.

I think my next votes after that will be Olund, Johnson, then Lafferty.

The question is where I'll insert Bengtsson into that. I don't really know how to weigh "May never play hockey for us again" as a factor into prospect rankings.

My hope is that Tiffels can play well enough to earn a few games this year when there are injuries, and that he can be a full time NHLer by 2018-19 -- especially if he can be effective as a C at the pro level.

Actually he was doing it as an 18 year old. He didn't turn 19 till mid May. Still might need to put on muscle mass i think, but that will come with time. I think that's the reason he was released from the AHL tryouts this spring. I'm sure his muscle mass should catch up given his age, and listed at 6' 1" as supposed to the much shorter Defensemen out there.

He's someone that's certainly moved up a lot from just a 5th round pick a year ago. He's someone to keep an eye on but still might be a bit far away.
