Its funny how for years we clamored about the PMD that were being drafted, and how all the NCAA picks become a bit of a joke against the organization. In the end it turned out the opposite of what most expected. Just goes to show what a crap shoot drafting and prospects in general can be.

Simon just seems like a guy that, for whatever reason wont have a future here. Hes like the forgotten guy. Havent heard the organization talk much about him and despite putting up solid production in the AHL, he hasnt gotten a prolonged chance in the NHL.

Voted for Olund. Simon would be my next choice.

Both are better prospects than Josh Archibald.

He was passed last year by Guentzel and probably this year by Sprong as a top-9 wing option.. I don't think he fits our system, either.

Why wouldn't Simon fit our system? He is a highly skilled, versatile forward who can play all three positions.

There is no shame in being surpassed by Jake Guentzel and Daniel Sprong.

Skating is an issue. And there are only so many wing spots available is what I was getting at with that post.

He is a natural center, though. So perhaps that is his future within this organization.

Or it just goes to show that playing in better leagues against older players tells you more about a prospect than playing ******** hockey against kids
